Sowatco Has Successfully Loaded-Out The 300 Teus Sowatco Master Container Ship – The Largest One In The Domestic Waterborne Transport Market

On November 6th, 2021, Sowatco Shipyard - a subsidiary of Southern Waterborne Transport Joint Stock Corporation (SOWATCO) - has successfully loaded-out the container ship named Sowatco Master. The loading-out ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors, Board of Management, Sowatco departments’ representatives, all Sowatco Shipyard’s members and Sowatco Master’s crew members.

Started from December 24th, 2020, although the construction was on the Tet holiday and in the period of the fourth wave of Covid-19, with the best efforts of all Sowatco Shipyard members, the contractors and the full supports from Sowatco's departments and the close supervision, direction of the BOD, the Sowatco Master ship with a capacity of 300 TEU - 5,000 tons has been successfully loaded-out after more than 10 months.

The successful loadout of the Sowatco Master container ship with the bow thruster is a great pride and marks the technological success of Sowatco. Up to now, Sowatco Master is the most modern and largest container ship in Vietnam's domestic waterborne transport market. This has once again demonstrated the determination of the Sowatco’s BOD in affirming Sowatco brand’s strength – an expert in port and waterborne transport, as well as honoring the pioneer position of Sowatco Shipyard in the domestic shipbuilding industry over the years.

On this occasion, the General Director of Sowatco has acknowledged and sent his thanks to Sowatco team and the contractors for their efforts to overcome difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially when they had to work under “three-on-site” model with limited living conditions and being away from their family during the 3 months of the pandemic.
