09/12/2020

On September 10th, 2020, Vietranstimex successfully received, transported and loaded-out the ship-loader weighing up to nearly 1,500 tons at PTSC Phu My Port, Vung Tau. The success of the project continues being Vietranstimex’s proud achievements and recognizing the efforts of Vietranstimex team during the past time.

Weight of this cargo is up to nearly 1,500 tons and its dimensions are so huge (106m x 26.5m x 28m). In order to load-out this such huge cargo, Vietranstimex team has calculated, measured and applied a configuration consisting 96-SPMT trailer axles with 04-PPUs and 16 SPT trailer axles connected to each other via a special electronic intermediate coupler to ensure the loads distribution and the allowable pressure for exploitation on the wharf’s floor. In addition, additional 8-SPT trailer axles are mobilized to transport the lifting gear.

FAS (Free Alongside Ship) condition was applied for the delivery. Accordingly, the receiving shipment was started on September 5th, the load-out was completed on September 10th, 2020, within 5 days. The whole process of lifting and transporting to the wharf was carried out on a distance of about 400m, lifting and loading-out onto the Jumbo Kinetic - the world's largest heavy lifter with vessel crane capacity of up to 3,000 tons.
