Vietranstimex Continuously Received Heavy Cargos Of Package A1 From The MV Alanis Docked At Construction Jetty Port

The overweight oversize shipment of the MV Alanis docked at Construction Jetty port of Long Son construction site on December 23rd has been received, cleared and transported to the construction site of the Petrochemical Complex in the Soutgh of Vietnam Project on December 26, 2020 by Vietranstimex, meeting the Client’s requirements and progress.

The MV Alanis released more than 1,700 tons of cargoes including particular overweight oversize equipment such as Main washer weighing more than 160.9 tons, dimensions of 68.04m x 5.13m x 5.73m; Butadiene Tower weighing 76 tons, dimension of 42.71mx 3.29m x 3.66 m; Predistill Ation Tower weighing 67.03 tons, dimensions of 43.09m x 3.27m x 3.82 m; Depentanizer weighing more than 81 tons, dimensions of 42.71m x 3.29m x 3.66 m, …
In order to receive and transport these equipment, convoys of SPT hydraulic trailers of 7-axle, 10-axle have been mobilized, particularly for large items of 40m or more, SPMT self-propelled hydraulic trailers up to 24 axles have been used.

This is the overweight oversize shipment under Package A1 of Petrochemical Complex in the South of Vietnam Project that Vietranstimex has been in charge of transporting. Previously, in November 2020, Vietranstimex also consecutively received and released nearly 4,400 tons of overweight oversize equipment of Package A1 from two ABB Lydia and BCC Danude ships docked at Construction Jetty port of Long Son construction site.

Petrochemical Complex in the South of Vietnam Project has received total investment capital up to $5.3 billion and being the second biggest petrochemical project in Vietnam. As planned, the project will complete construction and put into operation by the end of 2022, and the commercial operation will start in early 2023. The project is expected to create more than 1,000 skilled positions and contribute around $60 million per year. Vietranstimex is honored to become the Logistics contractor of the Package A1 - the largest cargos and equipment package of this Project.
