On September 18th, 2020, Vietranstimex successfully completed the Package 7B: Transporting three 500kV-600MVA Transformers from  Tan Dinh 500kV Substation (Phu My Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province) to Doc Soi 500kV Substation (Binh Nguyen commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province) by multi-modal means of transportation (waterway and roadway combined).

In the evening of September 15th, 2020, Vietranstimex's trailers convoy officially started the journey to transport the 500kV-467MVA transformer weighing up to 286.8 tons from Dong Anh (Hanoi) to Son La Hydropower Plant (Son La province). The 500kV-467MVA transformer, invested in the Lai Chau Hydropower Plant Construction Investment Project, is the step-up transformer for Son La - Lai Chau Hydropower plants to increase the continuous operation of these key works.

In the beginning of September 2020, Vietranstimex completed 1/3 of the plan of receiving and transporting containers and bulk cargoes of Nam Kong Hydropower Project 3 from Tien Sa Port, Da Nang to the site of the project built in Attapeu province, Laos P.D.R. This is the project singed in August 2019 and expected to be completed in August 2021.
